Probes
General
For laboratory measurements, with few exceptions all probe types can be used for all sample materials in the measuring range of 0.1 to 10 W/mK. In most cases you can choose a probe by shape and size of the available sample pieces or by sample preparation possibilities. For in-situ tests always the Field VLQ should be used, the smaller laboratory probes are not adequate for this purpose.
We offer complete TK04 measuring kits (VLQ kit, HLQ kit or Complete kit with HLQ and VLQ probe), including all necessary hardware and software components. But all probes are available separately for replacing defect probes or for upgrading an existing TK04 system.
Standard VLQ
* Absolute minimum size, valid for low thermal conductivity materials. For higher thermal conductivities, larger samples are required.

Options
General
Optional accessories are available to complete the TK04 measuring setup for particular sample types and measuring tasks.
When using a Standard or Mini HLQ the use of a lever press is recommended to ensure good contact between probe and sample by applying controlled contact pressure.
A sample container matching the diameter of the Standard HLQ probe is required for testing liquids, pastes, powder or fragments.
Guiding tubes provide fixed measuring positions for safely insert needle probes into hard samples or in the field.
Additional reference materials in different sizes serve to check the operating condition of instrument and probes.
